Livestock farming infrastructure to introduce jobs in the novel handling and distribution of milk, meat, and wool. We pioneered the first grassroots organization in Afghanistan to sustainably raise 2000 sheep, arguably the first technologically advanced operation in the South-East Asian region. Historically the south-east Asian region would limit the production of sheep at 300 due to lack of infrastructure, business acumen, and resources.

The job training for widows will come from Afghan Livestock’s own food scientists and local Veterinarians on sustainable farming. The widows will be trained on the distribution and handling of sheep’s wool, meat, and dairy. Through the Afghan Livestock operation, Afghan widows will have dignified role as thriving members of local economy with earnings to support their family.
